Our financial reality is a reflection of social reality.
Teenagers potentially have greater economic capacity than their parents, by following current social trends, mainly, from the use of social networks. This means of obtaining economic resources is old and commonly used, satisfying supply and demand considering people’s weaknesses. It is important to consider that this ability to monetize is not considered as good or bad. An example of this business model is “Onlyfans”, where young people and adults pay subscriptions to watch exclusive content or transmissions, mainly with sexual content. The capitalist model at its maximum expression: a business with a lot of demand and day by day the offer expands. Currently, in addition to this model, there are other examples that have become profitable businesses in the short term.
One of the greatest achievements as an entrepreneur is that your business impacts future generations, which is more complicated and requires you as an entrepreneur to step out of your comfort zone. It is not just about satisfying a market need, it is about proposing a change in attitudes and behaviors for the benefit of society. However, to get there requires more work and it must be considered that the return on investment will be slower. In this context, mental discipline plays a determining role.
“The Matrix is a system. This system is our enemy. But when you are inside, and you look around, what do you see? Businessmen, teachers, lawyers, carpenters. The very minds of the people we are trying to save. But until we do, these people are still part of that system. You have to understand, most of these people are not ready to disconnect. And many of them are so used to, so hopelessly dependent on the system, that they will fight to protect it” Morpheus, The Matrix, by Lana Wachowski.
Let’s talk a bit about the “Matrix,” which is considered a comfort zone in the world of finance and capital. For example, in the demand and supply model, when supply exceeds demand, a new need is generated within the market; therefore, new products or services are generated. This innovation requires capital and work, it is not easy; however, even if you succeed, you are still within the model: the “Matrix”.
Once the supply exceeds the demand, a new need is changed or generated in the market, therefore, a new product or service offer. Of course, this takes a lot of effort and work, it is not easy, but even if you are successful, you are still inside the “Matrix” and, in addition to this, you promote that society continues to participate in it.
Therefore, when we say to get out of the “Matrix”, we mean to create and promote (products, services, movements, trends) that help other people to get out of this comfort zone and state of comfort. Swimming against the current, overcoming all criticism and resistance from the system itself is a difficult task. It is a task that few dare to undertake, and it is here where mental discipline plays the most important role.
When I hear people who claim to have come out of the “Matrix”, such as the Tate brothers, it makes me think of the great irresponsibility of their content with the intention of adding more zeros to their bank account. I do not like to mention them because I keep creating fame for them, which is their main objective; and although in this medium we do not have their reach or impact as many people as they do, it is necessary to confront those currents of thought for the change of attitudes through the exchange of ideas. We are living in an era where freedom does not exist, our way of speaking, expressing ourselves and acting is regulated by the wrath of the minority. We live in society and my right of expression entails your right of freedom.
If we do not learn the essentials, we will never get out of the “Matrix”.
